Overview

By visiting yuanceramics.co.nz and placing an order, you agree to the following terms. These terms apply to all purchases made through our website. Yuan Ceramics reserves the right to update these terms at any time — continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Handmade Nature of Our Products

Every piece sold by Yuan Ceramics is handmade. Because of this, slight variations in size, glaze colour, surface texture, and finish are a natural and expected part of each piece — they are not defects. Product photography aims to represent colours and details as accurately as possible, but screens vary and the actual piece may differ slightly in person.

Each Yuan Ceramics piece is handmade. Some designs may be restocked, but every piece can carry small individual differences in shape, glaze, and finish.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your card details — all payment information is handled directly by Stripe.

Inventory

Product availability is based on the current stock quantity shown in our system. Items may be temporarily reserved when checkout begins. If payment is not completed within the session window, the reservation is released and the item becomes available to others. Availability is confirmed only once payment is successfully processed.

Yuan Ceramics reserves the right to cancel any order at its discretion — for example, if an item is found to be damaged prior to dispatch. In that case, a full refund will be issued promptly.

Shipping, Returns & Damage

Website checkout is currently available for New Zealand delivery addresses only. Full details on domestic shipping rates, international enquiries, dispatch times, damaged parcels, and our returns policy are on our Shipping & Returns page.

Limitation of Liability

Yuan Ceramics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific order in question. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
